today i have tidy my room and found a old toy of my childhood. this aero hawk from sega (1988) was one of my favorites…a helicopter with start platform from japan. when pulling the toothed belt it could fly huge distance with a nice buzz noise :) i thought sega does only arcade/video games and i didn’t know they have produced casual toys like this one, but it’s still a fancy thing!

jipee, we have done it!…the ugly ganor is defeated and prinzess zelda is in our arms. what we wanna more :) the last level of legend of zelda was huge but with a potion and a bit swordsmanship we faced the final boss, shot him down with silver arrows and get the triforce and the prinzess.

well, we have beaten “legend of zelda” one time, but we are not finished. there is a second quest to do! the second quest is much harder than the first especially the levels!!! :o

it’s 5:30am and i have played with a friend of mine for 8 hours without a break the first “legend of zelda” (1986) on nes…this is one of the hardest games i’ve ever played…and i could say this with a walktrough in my hand!

“the legend of zelda” was the first game cartridge for NES that has a battery included and allows you to save your gameplay…what a huge revolution for the console industrie :) so, here began the story of our small hero “link”.

ok…call me a nerd, but here is the real reason why i have bough a NES :) i didn’t want the whole chest, but the seller wouldn’t give me only the controllers, so i had to take the console too. today i have sacrifice one of the four pads to make me my own NES-mouse and i’m quite successful with my oldschool mouse.

today on jumble sale i couldn’t resist: i bought me my first NES i ever had, because i never get one when i was a child :( . now i’m a proud owner of a nes system, 4 controller, a 4 player adapter and five games! back at home plug in the cables, search the frequenzy and and put in a cartrige: the 8bit sound boom out of my tv and the srceen show me a nice startup pixelgraphic from 1986. now i have to decide: the legend of zelda, castlevania, double dragon 3, super mario 2 or super mario 3 are the games i’m spoilt for choice. as a eroded rpg gamer i think it will be zelda :) i heard, it has a huge walktrough and 9 dungeons to clean…that is what i was looking for!

here the scans of the five nostalgic cartrige-covers from my game collection and i’m sure there will be more next week ;)

found some wicked oldschool games at a junk shop. this one from 1980 is my favorit…i’d really like to smash the spacemonster with my robot, but i havn’t allready found a philips videopac system to rummble the good old pixel mobs :) anyway the game is a huge cartridge with a handle (you could knockdown everyone with it), not like this tiny nintendo DS games. the cover-artwork is awesome, see the images…

no, no.. i really don’t hate sega (what endless nights we were gaming on master system and megadrive :) , but i think as a gamer you have to do this once in your life. so it wasn’t easy at all to crush the controller…i have smashed the segapad with a huge hammer to break the hard shell. today i fixed up my artwork witch i have painted in white and kicked it on scanner…
